Recommended Action
Whereas there has been significant support in the community for the installation of a public art piece in the form of a rainbow crosswalk in Fort Langley;
Whereas Council has sought and received input from staff and the Heritage Advisory Committee regarding the installation of a crosswalk;
Whereas the community has independently fundraised to cover the expense of this installation up to $12,000;
Therefore be it resolved that a single crosswalk at Glover Road and Mary Avenue, running east to west, be designated as a rainbow crosswalk and that the installation move forward as soon as weather permits.
