Recommended Action
That the proposed field additions in the amount of $950,000 with recovery of $350,000 from Langley United Soccer Association, at Walnut Grove Community Park be approved and included in the 2017 funded Parks Capital budget; and
That staff pursue additional partnerships with sports field user groups specific to the conversion of existing gravel “all weather” fields into synthetic turf at one or more of the following parks and locations: Noel Booth Park, Aldergrove Athletic Park, Brown Park, and Brookswood Secondary School; and
That staff come back to Council, if additional partnerships can be established specific to any of the remaining six “all weather” fields and that such proposals be referred to the 2017 Parks Capital budget for consideration.
