Recommended Action
Whereas Styrofoam (EPS) accounts for 12% of the volume in landfills;
Whereas the Township of Langley does not currently participate in a styrofoam recycling program, although styrofoam recycling programs do exist in the Lower Mainland;
Therefore be it resolved that Council request staff to report back on the potential of the Township of Langley to participate in a program for recycling of styrofoam (EPS).
