Therefore be it resolved that Council hereby directs staff to not proceed with additional road widening of Fraser Highway and/or
272 Street into Parcel A, but instead proceed to review and consider the parking lane and other policy alternatives outlined within the Transportation Master Plan unique to this section of Fraser Highway through downtown Aldergrove.

That Item D be amended to ask staff to report back on other options as opposed to road widening of Fraser Highway and/or 272 Street into Parcel A.

Clerk’s Note: Further to the Council resolution of May 10, 2021, directing staff to proceed with a rezoning application for the former Alder Inn site as soon as possible, and the presentation made by staff, as directed by Council, at its subsequent meeting on
May 31, 2021, it is recommended that Council direct staff to proceed with Option 3B1 - Balanced Intersection Improvements, to facilitate widening of Fraser Highway and 272 Street, consistent with historic bylaws, plans and past practice; while incorporating an adjustment to the floor space ratio (FSR) calculation to ensure no net loss in the overall density of the ultimate proposed mixed use development on the site.
