264 Street Connecting Sidewalk Project
Recommended Action
Whereas the section on the eastern side of 264 Street immediately north of the Fraser Highway is under the jurisdiction of the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure;
Whereas this section is a gap in connectivity of sidewalks in the area; and
Whereas the Council of the Township of Langley remains concerned for the safety of pedestrians on this section of road as it is used by large commercial vehicles;
Therefore be it resolved that the Mayor forward a letter, on behalf of Council, requesting that the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure include the connecting sidewalk project in the upcoming funding allocations and that it be completed as soon as practical.
