Recommended Action
Whereas Council now has annual facilitated priority-setting sessions where it sets overall goals for the four year terms and monitors progress annually towards these goals;
Whereas the Council Priorities Committee is now somewhat redundant and is used mainly to move items off the regular Council agendas;
Whereas Council business should be discussed by the Council in open public meetings and a reduction of committees will best facilitate this;
Therefore be it resolved that the Council Priorities Committee be dissolved, as it is no longer needed.
