Fort Langley Project Update (as amended)
Recommended Action
MOTION
That Council receive the Fort Langley Grant Priorities and Process 2017 Update Presentation of December 11, 2017;
That Council direct staff to continue discussions with the Seyem’ Qwantlen Business Group and Kwantlen First Nation regarding the Haldi House preservation project, and assistance for the planning of the KFN Sports Fields initiative and bring any proposals from those groups back to Council for consideration in 2018;
That Council authorize staff to take the Museums - Mixed Housing - Commercial Development concepts as presented to a public consultation phase, obtaining feedback from the general public; the First Nations’ community; the Recreation, Culture and Parks Advisory Committee; Seniors Advisory Committee; Agricultural Advisory and Economic Enhancement Committee; and the Heritage Advisory Committee and then report back to Council in early 2018; and
That after the completion of the public consultation phase obtaining, feedback from the general public; the First Nations’ community; the Recreation, Culture and Parks Advisory Committee; Seniors Advisory Committee; Agricultural Advisory and Economic Enhancement Committee; and the Heritage Advisory Committee, that Council authorize staff to prepare a call for proposals establishing prequalification and interest from developers in the concepts presented to Council specific the Museums - Mixed Housing - Commercial project.
